Pick services by asking one question first: who decides whether you get the job? If it's a homeowner searching on a phone, start with local search or paid search. If it's a strata council or a property manager, the strata service matters more. If many of your quotes are for families who prefer Cantonese or Mandarin, add Chinese-language reach on top of whichever channel you choose.
Everything below is marketing and business consulting. We are not a contractor and we don't do the trade work. We help your crew get found and chosen in Richmond.
-
Map-pack and local search
Get your trade into the Google map results for the Richmond planning areas your trucks can reach on time.
-
Google Ads with a job-cost ceiling
Paid search capped at what a booked Richmond job is actually worth to you, not what Google suggests.
-
Strata and property-manager work
Win repeat service calls from the strata councils and managers who look after Richmond's apartments and townhouses.
-
Cantonese and Mandarin customer reach
Make it easy for Richmond homeowners who search or text in Chinese to pick your crew with confidence.
Map-pack and local search
Local search is the right first move for most Richmond trades. When someone in Blundell types "plumber near me" or "electrician Richmond", Google shows three businesses on a map before anything else. Getting into those three, and into the organic results under them, brings calls you don't pay for by the click.
This service covers your Google Business Profile, service pages on your website for each job type you actually want, area pages for the parts of Richmond you cover, a review routine with real customers, and consistent listings. It takes a few months to build, but it keeps paying while you sleep.
Choose it if you have a website you can edit (or are willing to get one), a crew that can respond within a day, and the patience to wait two to four months for full effect. Details are on the local search page.
Google Ads with a job-cost ceiling
Paid search is the fastest way to put your phone number in front of people who need a trade today. It suits urgent work such as burst pipes, no-power calls, roof leaks during a December storm and blocked drains, where people call the first credible name they see.
The difference in how we run it: before launch, we set a ceiling on what you'll pay for one booked job, using your ticket size, margin and close rate. Search terms, bids, hours and areas are then tuned to stay under that number. If a category can't be won profitably in Richmond, we tell you rather than keep spending.
Choose it if you need calls soon, can answer the phone during the hours ads run, and have at least a modest monthly budget for clicks on top of the plan fee. Read more on the paid search page.
Strata and property-manager work
This is a relationship channel, not a quick win. Richmond has more apartment units than detached houses, and many townhouse complexes are stratas too. Repairs to common property usually go through a strata council or a management company, and those buyers want proof of licensing, insurance, WorkSafeBC coverage and clean paperwork before they call you.
We help you package that proof, build a short credentials page and a one-page capability sheet, find the right management firms, and stay in front of them with useful, low-pressure contact. One good management relationship can mean dozens of service calls a year.
Choose it if your trade fits building work (plumbing, electrical, roofing, drainage, painting, restoration) and you can handle a slower sales cycle. See the strata and property-manager page.
Cantonese and Mandarin customer reach
Close to half of Richmond residents list Cantonese or Mandarin as their mother tongue. Many search in English, but plenty will compare trades in Chinese, ask for a quote by text in Chinese, or simply trust a business more when its page explains the job in their language.
This service adds properly translated service pages, profile details, ad copy and quote-request text templates, written with a fluent human reviewer rather than raw machine output. It also helps you set up how your team handles a Chinese-language text when nobody on the truck speaks it.
Choose it if a meaningful share of your customers already prefer Chinese, or if you have a team member who speaks Cantonese or Mandarin and could take those calls. More on the Cantonese and Mandarin page.
How to combine them
A simple way to decide:
| Your situation | Start with | Add later |
|---|---|---|
| Small crew, mostly homeowner work | Local search | Paid search for urgent jobs |
| Need calls this month | Paid search | Local search to lower long-run cost |
| Building and complex work | Strata and property managers | Local search for credibility |
| Many Chinese-speaking customers | Your main channel | Cantonese and Mandarin reach |
Plan prices are on the pricing page. Coverage across the city is described on the areas page, and answers to common questions are in the FAQ.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need all four services?
Almost never. A two-truck crew usually does well with local search alone, or local search plus a small paid-search budget. Strata work and Chinese-language reach get added when your job mix and capacity justify them.
Can I start with ads and add search later?
Yes. Ads are the quickest way to test which jobs and areas pay. What we learn from the first two months of ad data often decides which service pages and planning areas the local search work should target.
Do you build websites?
Website work is included where a service needs it, such as new service pages or translated pages. If you need a full rebuild, the Elite and Enterprise plans include website design benefits through Trades.Agency.
Do you sell shared leads?
No. Every call and text goes to your business only. We are not a lead-reselling platform and we are not a contractor.
