These are the questions Richmond trade owners ask most often before working with us. If yours isn't here, call, text or email and ask. A two-minute answer from a person beats a long page.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
Growth costs $1,999 monthly, dropping to $1,499 with annual billing. Elite runs $3,999 or $2,999 annually; Enterprise runs $7,999 or $5,999 annually. Add 5% GST, and budget click costs on top.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contract. You pay month to month and give 30 days' notice to stop. Annual billing is optional and lowers the monthly rate.
How long before I see results?
Paid search can bring calls within the first two weeks after tracking is in place. Local search usually needs two to four months to show clearly and keeps improving for a year. We report from month one so you can see the trend.
We tried an agency before and got nothing. Why would this be different?
The usual causes are no tracking, broad ads, a vague website and reports full of clicks instead of jobs. We start by agreeing a cost-per-booked-job ceiling and report against it every month. If something isn't working, we say so and change it, or recommend you stop.
Who owns the website, Google profile and ad accounts?
You do. Accounts are set up in your business's name, or we get manager access to the ones you already have. If you leave, everything stays with you.
Do you promise a number of leads or a ranking?
No. Google decides rankings, and lead volume depends on your market, prices and response time. We commit to the work, the tracking and honest reporting.
What's in the monthly report?
Calls, texts and emails by source; booked jobs matched to your job list; cost per booked job against the agreed ceiling; what we changed; and what we plan next. It's short enough to read in five minutes.
Are you a contractor?
No. We don't install, repair or service anything. We are a marketing and business consulting service, part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, and we work for your trade business.
Do you sell leads to several companies?
Never. Every enquiry from your marketing goes to you alone.
Which trades do you work with in Richmond?
Plumbing, electrical, roofing and gutters, drainage, renovation, flooring, painting, landscaping and similar home-service trades. Our published case studies are from HVAC companies and are labelled as results from our HVAC work.
Can you help us reach Chinese-speaking customers?
Yes. Our Cantonese and Mandarin service adds reviewed translations of key pages, profile details, ad copy and text templates, even if nobody on your crew speaks Chinese.
Do you work with trades outside Richmond?
This site focuses on Richmond. Many Richmond crews also serve Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster or Delta, and we include those in your plan where the drive makes sense. For trades elsewhere in Canada, Trades.Agency is the group's main trades brand.
How do I start?
Call, text or email. Tell us your trade, your main service area and roughly what a typical job is worth. The first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses.
Money and contracts
Price and commitment come up first, so they're first here. Growth, the entry plan, is $1,999 a month with no commitment or $1,499 a month on a yearly bill, plus GST. There's no long-term contract and cancellation takes 30 days' notice.
What owners often miss is that ad spend sits on top of the plan fee. If you run Google Ads, the click budget is paid from your own account to Google. That's deliberate: you can always see what's being spent, and nobody marks it up. The pricing page has a full worked example of total monthly cost for a Richmond trade.
Timing and expectations
Paid search is fast; local search is slow and compounding. Most plans use both for that reason. In the first month, the work is mostly setting up tracking, fixing your Google profile and launching tightly focused campaigns. By the end of the third month, you should know your cost per booked job by channel and by job type.
We don't promise rankings or lead counts. We do promise to explain, in plain words, what happened each month and why. See the results page for what the method has produced in our HVAC work.
"We've been burned before"
Many owners come to us after a bad experience. The pattern is familiar: a long contract, a pretty report full of impressions, and no clear link between spend and jobs. Some also found their website or ad account was in the agency's name.
Our answer is structural rather than a promise:
- month-to-month plans, so we have to earn every month
- accounts in your name from day one
- a written cost-per-booked-job ceiling, agreed before launch
- reports built around booked jobs, matched to your own records
Our cost per booked job guide shows the calculation we use, so you can check our work.
Working with us day to day
You'll deal with a senior strategist, not a rotating cast. Most clients hear from us weekly during setup and monthly after that, with quick texts in between when something needs a decision. We'll ask for a few things from you: access to your accounts, a rough list of recent jobs, photos from real jobs, and fast answers when a customer calls.
We're a marketing and consulting service, not a contractor. We'll never show up at a job site or speak for your business on technical matters.
Reporting and communication
Each month you get a short report you can read in five minutes. It shows calls, texts and emails by source, the booked jobs we could match to your records, and cost per booked job against the ceiling we agreed. It also says what we changed that month and what we plan to try next, in plain language.
If you'd rather talk than read, we'll walk you through it on a short call. Between reports, we text when a decision is needed, for example when an ad is getting calls you don't want, or when a review needs a careful reply.
Who we're not a fit for
We're honest about this. We're probably not the right choice if you need marketing for a trade you're not licensed or insured for, if you want someone to buy or write reviews, or if you can't answer the phone or reply to texts during working hours. We're also not a fit if you're looking for shared leads at a low price per lead. In those cases a quick conversation will save us both time.
Richmond specifics
Richmond has a few quirks that shape most plans: many strata buildings, a large Cantonese- and Mandarin-speaking population, and an island layout that makes bridge trips costly. The areas page walks through each planning area, and the services page explains which service fits which situation.
When you're ready, the contact page explains what to send so the first conversation is useful.
