Richmond Marketing exists for one kind of client: an owner-run trade business in Richmond, BC that does good work and wants a steadier, more profitable flow of jobs. We plan and run the marketing, starting from your job numbers and the shape of the island, and we report on booked work.
We are a marketing and business consulting service. We are not a contractor. We don't install, repair, clean, build or service anything, and we never sell your enquiries to anyone else.
The company behind the brand
Richmond Marketing is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian business headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and serving clients across Canada.
- Sedighi.ca is Ali's own consulting company for growth, marketing and technology work. Trades.Agency, the trades brand this site belongs to, is one of its brands, alongside HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca.
- SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone) is the group's Canadian strategy firm, focused on AI, strategy and revenue acceleration. Its Founder & Managing Partner is Ali, and its strategic direction comes from Sedighi.ca.
Richmond Marketing belongs to the Trades.Agency family, which means its plans, pricing and terms follow Trades.Agency's. What's different here is the focus: Richmond only, trades only, and a plan built around how this particular city works.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali Sedighi holds an MBA in Technology Management and has more than 17 years of experience in digital marketing, starting in 2007. That year he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
He is the founder of Conv.ca, a conversion-rate optimisation agency, and of MyAutomation.ca, and the Founder & Managing Partner of SAZ.ca. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai.
Much of his trade-sector work has been with heating and cooling companies: he has built 150+ live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca, HeatLand.ca and BCWide.ca. Those are the results we show on our results page, labelled as results from our HVAC work.
How we work
Our approach is the same whether you run one van or twelve.
- Numbers before tactics. We ask for your recent jobs, ticket sizes and close rate. From those we calculate what a booked job is worth and what you can afford to pay to win one. Our cost per booked job guide shows the method.
- The island before the city. We map where your profitable work comes from by planning area, and we're honest about bridge and tunnel trips. The areas page explains how we read each part of Richmond.
- Few channels, done properly. Most clients need two or three of our four services, not a dozen half-run campaigns.
- Written plans. Before anything launches, you get a short document saying what we'll do, what it costs and what we expect it to produce.
- Plain monthly reporting. Calls, texts, booked jobs and cost per job. If something isn't working, we say so and change it.
What a first month looks like
In the first month we gather your job data, fix tracking so every call and text is counted, clean up your Google profile and agree the ceiling per booked job. You'll get a short written plan and a first report at the end of the month, even if the numbers are still small. From month two, the work shifts to the channels the plan picked.
What we will never do
- write, buy or filter reviews
- promise a ranking or a number of leads
- put a fake address in Richmond on your Google profile
- lock you into a long contract (plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice)
- keep your website, profile or ad accounts hostage; you own them
- claim another trade's results as yours
Why trades, and why Richmond
Trades are a business where marketing either pays for itself in weeks or doesn't pay at all, which keeps everyone honest. Richmond adds three twists that generic agencies tend to miss: a housing stock dominated by stratas, a large Cantonese- and Mandarin-speaking population, and an island geography that makes drive time a real cost.
If that sounds like your market, the next step is a free 30-minute consultation for eligible trades businesses. See the pricing page for plan costs, or contact us by call, text or email.
Frequently asked questions
Who owns Richmond Marketing?
It's a brand of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian business headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. It sits alongside Trades.Agency, the group's trades marketing brand.
Are you a contractor or a lead-generation marketplace?
Neither. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we don't sell leads. We plan and run marketing for your business, and every enquiry goes to you alone.
Why do your results come from HVAC companies?
The group's published case studies are from heating and cooling businesses. We present them as results from our HVAC work and explain which methods carry over to other trades.
Will I work with Ali directly?
You'll work with a senior strategist from day one, and Ali sets the approach for every plan. You won't be passed to a junior rep after the sale.
